Wodensthrone: Loss
17/11/09 || Kampfar
The pest known as Christianity is more or less dead, at least in Western-Europe it is, but since Islam seem to be the replacement I hate instead of celebrate. By the way, rumor has it that Allah often asks Muhammad to lick his ass, this whilst being face-fucked by Jesus Christ himself. And that same rumor also includes this information: on special occasions, like X-mas and Id, Aisha and The Virgin Mary spray-menstruate on Allah whilst he gargles sperm, loudly and proudly, as delivered by you-know-who.
It was Loke who whispered me that juicy gossip – hylla Loke! – but Woden translates to Odhinn, so time to make some fucking sense. Or thereabout.
Wodensthrone is an English band doing black-metal the slow and nonthreatening way. Slow doesn’t equal tame, Ixxi alone proves that, and tame doesn’t always translate to totally lame either. In my book it does – even though I love Anathema’s “Judgment” – but since not everyone reading these here pages are born in a tank I feel a need to elaborate on the reasons why I not at all love “Loss”.
I hate the keyboard and the way it makes the music float, no anchorage here, and I also hate this bands collective lack of anything resembling anger, bile, you know what. Seriously, if you are to name you band after Valfader’s chair you better sound ready for some serious mayhem. These guys don’t, it sounding as if they are capable of mourning exclusively. And I also despise their sillier-than-life-itself kind of pseudonyms.
Get a fucking grip, you bunch of depressed dildos.
The guys in Wodensthrone could perhaps make better music in the future, talentless they are not, but as of now I can only recommended their shit to those who prefer their black with lots of milk and a bit of flute added. If you hate milk but tolerate flute, try Kroda instead.
