Vore: Gravehammer
23/01/12 || BamaHammer
I really like what these four ugly Arkansas fuckos do. I’ve actually been a pretty big fan of Vore’s style of groovy, sludge-infused, mid-paced death metal for a while now, as well as their fucken ugly logo. Their 2005 album, “Maleficus,” never left my CD player for like a month when I first got it. Now six years later, and “Gravehammer” is a little bit better. The production is noticeably well formulated all around. The songs themselves are just killer track after killer track pure catchy death metal with an almost Grave-esque simplistic groove to them. There are even enough interesting nuances in the songwriting to break up the monotony created by the consistent tempos. If you’ve never heard Vore before, this would be a great album to start with. It’s easy to enjoy because it’s just so fucken groovy. Even the cover is badass. Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m going to go listen to this one again.
8/10 grooves to be enjoyed.
After going thru that crap, you most likely wanna read something way more interesting. You do, admit it.
