Stormlord: Hesperia
25/09/13 || Cobal
I promise I’ll keep it short this time. Even though I’ve seen Stormlord’s album covers for years in catalogues and whatnot, I had never listened to their work. Somehow I would reckon I could do without their “epic approach to melodic black metal”. I was right.
I could have perfectly kept on living my infamous existence without ever listening to this light version of Dimmu Burger. Yes, that’s possible. Take their sound and dissolve it in a power metal solution. Voilá! You get “Hesperia”, an unnecessary release of epic music.
I can’t hate it. It’s just weak and spareable. I don’t hate weak, I just… Disregard it.
2/10: There was ten seconds of a guitar line that could have been used for something much better. Forgot the track, though.
After going thru that crap, you most likely wanna read something way more interesting. You do, admit it.
