If you get over the singing of vocalist Aline, you may enjoy this strange mix of alternative/experimental rock. She uses the characteristic “chanson” way of singing, which is more talking than singing. I personally like this style used by Benjamin Biolay, Noir Desir or the master Gainsbourg. The musicianship is good but I’m sure it will get better in future releases as the chops are there. The music is ambitious and touches a wide array of styles with complete success most of the time. Nothing really metal here besides a couple of rabid screams and some song arrangements but still a refreshing release from a young band that has the potential to grow more in the future.
8/10: Because they are not afraid of being innovative and different.
After going thru that crap, you most likely wanna read something way more interesting. You do, admit it.
