Ofghost: Audiocorpse
20/10/13 || Cobal
Take raw amateur black art and electronics that range from 8-bit sounds to somewhat futuristic atmospheres here and there and voilá! You get “Audiocorpse”. Even if it’s impossible to me to hate this (at this point my deep affection for black metal should not be new), I have to say I don’t even feel like coming back to it again soon… Or ever. The thing is, some experiments are not a good idea, and although it’s true a few acts have successfully fused industrial-slash-electronic music with the darkest kind of metal, in general it won’t do shit for me. Moreover, if a band decides to go futuristic, I do expect some sophisticated music. Finally, sparing us the synths here could have made this somewhat worthy instead of killing the effect.
5/10: Not terrible, but ultimately mediocre and lacking the charm of some similar likes.
After going thru that crap, you most likely wanna read something way more interesting. You do, admit it.
