Necrosphere: Revived
29/08/02 || Lord K Philipson
First off, lemme tell you that the website-link on this album isn´t working and though I almost tried to find it elsewhere I was fucked. And I don´t care. There you go.
I think it´s nice as hell to be sent albums. Death metal albums even. Once again, Jacob of Hatesphere supplied your favourite-Lord with some music. Now I´m only waiting for him to send me actual good albums. Ironic as it is, the best album he ever sent is from his own band, but who am I to complain? It´s just more albums to throw at christians, after preparing them with explosives. Necrosphere? Good name, fucken idiots. Any bandname with the word “necro” in it pretty much suck camel-balls. But this is not about the genitalia of animals, this is supposed to be a review. Or at least that´s what someone told me.
So these Necro-idiots are from the land of Pasta and Pizza. No, that´s not Holland, it´s Italy. Is there any truth to the statements on Die Hard´s webiste when talking about these mongoloids? “The Italian cult takes over!”, ” The Italians have become a pure cult…”. You HAVE to be fucken kidding me. Cult?! Taking over? Suck my leprosy-infected ass. These guys aren´t taking over anything, not even with the whole US army backing them up.
It´s… tadaa… death metal. From Italy.
Why, thank you… I have yet to discover a good death metal band from Italy. No people, Lacuna Coil are not death metal. And they are only semi-good. I have listened to this disc quite a few times now and it´s safe to say that it feels a lot longer than the 40 minutes it is. That, for one, is not a very good sign. It all sounds the same. If they were a movie, they´d be “The fast and the furious 2 – Speed kills and no one cares”. You can play as fast as you want, it doesn´t matter to me if you don´t have the fucken good riffs and songs. I have said this alot of times. Speed isn´t everything, sure, it´s hella lot, but it´s not everything. Speed doesn´t equal good songs. But speed they have, that´s atleast something I guess. What they need now is:
1. A good production.
2. A few good riffs.
3. A few good songs.
4. A new name for the band
5. A shaved coyote.
6. A Colorado Avalanche jersey.
7. My talent.
8. A whore.
9. Better drugs.
And last, 10, Peter Forsberg.
All of those things would help to improve this band. especially number 7 and 10. There´s 11 songs on this album and not even under gunpoint could I tell 10 of them apart. That´s another not so good sign. When the best song on a cd is a cover, you gotta realize something is pretty wrong. And no, the cover isn´t very good either. What did you expect? I guess if all you want in life is fast Italian death metal, then this might be for you. I want more. But not of this cult-band.
This makes me wonder… Jacob sends me all these Die Hard releases and most of them sound like crap… Is Die Hard really that bad a label? Good thing 2 Ton predator is on there to bring the quality up, and yes, I´m saying that becoz they are my friends. Fuck you, I´m not. Anyfuckenwho/poo/moo… If Necrosphere sells more than 200 records, there are more than 200 deaf fucken idiots out there.
3.5/10
