Meatjack: Trust

13/01/10  ||  Kampfar

I have no idea what a meatjack is but it sure sounds as something most of us would prefer not having forced up our asses. Or perhaps meatjack is a metaphor for cock? Anywayz, you lot deserve to be gang-raped by a bunch of sadistic Japaneses dudes who – and I have not seen this on the Internet – operated their (tiny) pricks away and replaced them with electric-eels of monstrous proportions.

Bukkake!

Meatjack came to life in 1993, went away circa 10 years later, and during that time they did 2 demos, 4 splits, and 3 full-lengths. The world didn’t care, not then or now, and all of a sudden we have yet another reason why all should be sent to Himalaya and there be face-raped by Yetis packing immense, and also very pointy, icicle-penises. In fact, pointy and immense enough to properly skullfuck any given humanoid straight to death in less time than it would take a cheetah, on crank, to outrun a handicapped snail shot-up on smack.

And the reason why is simple: what this trio from Baltimore managed to release before disbanding stands heads and shoulders above most music ever made. 95% circa. I know, an according percentage of people are crap so it would be a fucking wonder on par with Jesus taking a wank whilst walking upside down on stormy water if music didn’t reflect this undeniable fact.

Alrighty then, time for some reviewing.

“Trust” contains close to nothing but hard-hitting music sprinkled with delicious noise. And its at your throat from the get-go. We aren’t talking über brutal anything, no blasts or exploding corpses at display here, but romantic fuck music this surely ain’t. The vocals alone prevents it from being so, a bileful scream 24/7 if you wonder, and I fucking applaud every last breath Mr. Daniloski spent doing them. I wouldn’t do so if mentioned mister hadn’t been able to vary his approach along with the music. Sure, we aren’t talking a range on par with the best of snipers – not me unfortunately – but a dude like Pavarotti would’ve done this record no good at all.

If you need genres, here is what to do: think a mix of sludge and some doom topped with (guitar) noise.

And keeping it all together we have a rumbling bass into drive, perhaps even a bit distorted, but the most important thing to remember is that all humanoids must die as soon as possible.
