Edvian: 2012
22/03/13 || Cobal
Listening to this record made wonder about the rightful forefathers of progressive metal. Where do the roots of the genre lie? On traditional heavy metal works splattered with progressive hints? On classic progressive rock with some heavy guitar playing? On technical almost jazzy death and thrash metal works? On ultra detailed and ridiculously thoroughly written power metal? Who knows.
Whoever the true godfathers of progressive metal are, Edvian pay tribute to them all, and yes, they do it well.
7/10: A bit all over the place if you like, still good shit.
After going thru that crap, you most likely wanna read something way more interesting. You do, admit it.
