Blastanus: Collapse
07/09/11 || Smalley
Blastanus?? Hahaha… anyway, this self-released album by these Finnish death metallers has some semi-decent groovy riffs, but it’s still undermined by annoying vocal styles, a grating guitar sound, and otherwise aimless, sloppy, and unremarkable songwriting that can’t decide if it wants to be thrashy, deathy, grindy, nu metal, or groove. I like variety too, but not if you can’t make it all come together.
5/10: Pass!
After going thru that crap, you most likely wanna read something way more interesting. You do, admit it.
